Congestive heart failure is the typical present feature. Enlarging at circumference is due to obstructive hydrocephalus. The vein of Galen is a cystic anechoic midline mass, lying between The lateral ventricles and posterior to the foramen of Monroe and the third ventricle. Internal echoes maybe present representing clot.
