Hand hygiene should take place before & after every patient contact. After leaving a care home on a domiciliary visit. Use soap and water or hand wash 70% alcohol. Use paper towels. Hands physically dirty must use soap and water. |

No nail varnish, keep nails short, no watches (MRSA), no jewellery, disinfect equipment and work surfaces, remove scarf/ tie( MRSA), wear gloves( MSRA), if cut use coloured plaster, mask for MRSA patients. |
