General craft fire

-Bring craft to hullborne condition


- Announce fire call away fire party muster troops on cargo deck as appropriate


- Pull fire door and fuel shutoff valve manual pull handles


-turn off main engines auxiliary fan


-Man nozzle fixed halon 1211 system and proceed to scene


-man fixed halon 1211 system and stand by to charge hose


-fire party approach fire area avoiding exposure to toxic smoke and fumes from affected compartment


- to maintain halon concentration inject halon 1211 via fire inject or view ports into engine of APU compartment within 3 minutes of halon 1301 discharge using 5 second burst every 3 minutes for 15 minutes


-Isolate fire area electrically


-Navigator relieve loadmaster


Rig utility pump


-Inform operational commander control unit and other craft in company on a regular basis concerning the status of the emergency

Over temp M/E

-Turn on engine compartment auxiliary cooling fan


-if display goes out in ten(10) seconds, proceed on assignment


- if Compt overtemp frame remains on after (10) seconds reduce N1 on affected engine; increase N2 an prop pitch on unaffected side


- if display goes out in ten(10)seconds proceed on assignment


-If display remains on after ten (10) seconds reduce N2 and prop pitch on affected side, secure affected


- If compt overtemp frame remains on after ten (10) seconds, stop craft, go hullborne, and investigate conditions


-Proceed to compartment fire if fire in present


- discharge primary (A) Halon bottle


-Acknowledge Alarm


-if fire light goes out and mission requirements allow, man firefighting team in accordance with general craft fire procedures (paragraph 3-2.5)


-if fire light remains on for 18 seconds discharge (b) bottle


-if fire light goes out man firefighting team in accordance with general craft fire procedures(paragraph3-2.5)


If fire light still remains on shut down adjacent engine and/or APU


-Shut down fuel supply to affected components by use of manual firewall shutoff valve


- man firefighting team in accordance with general craft fire procedures (paragraph 3-2.5)

Fire fuel bays

-Discharge primary (a) halon bottle


-acknowledge alarm


- shut down fuel transfer system


-shutdown affected main engines and APU


-Shut down fuel pumps for affected fuel bay


- If fire light goes out and mission requirements allow, man firefighting team in accordance with general craft fire procedures(paragraph 3-2.5)


-If firelight remains on for 15 seconds discharge (b) bottle, stop craft, go hullborne


- shut down remaining main engines and APU


-shut down remaining fuel system


-man firefighting team in accordance with general craft fire procedures (paragraph 3-2.5)
