Front (Term)

The midpoint is 10 as it is halfway.

Use the GDC to find the mean. Create lists and spreadsheets, enter the midpoints in your A column, enter the frequencies in your B column, select 4, 1, 1. There is one list. The X values are in your a column, the frequencies are in your b column and your first results will be in the c column. Ensure that there are square brackets after each letter a, b, c. Press enter and the mean is the X bar value, remember to round to 3 significant figures for your final answer. You must also show the workings as seen in the picture sigma x over n equals x bar.

The most important thing to revise is not the answer. The most important thing to revise is how to find the answer and what information needs to be written as your workings and as your final answer including rounding.

Front (Term)

When the base numbers are the same and we are multiplying the terms, we add the powers.

Remember we need to memorise the rules and how to do this rather than the answers

This question is worth one mark so no workings will be required
