The industrial revolution shifted from a farming society to an industrialised manufacturing-based society. It caused a huge increase in food production, massive population increase massive increase in manufacturing. It was the beginning of the modern world.

steam power completely change the way everything was run. huge developments in transportation, changed the way good and people moved around the world. Things could be produced with huge quantities with little cost. Global trade was another huge devolopment

telegraph was invented which had a huge impact on communication. Food production increased off the charts and began the process of urbanisation. Huge development in the use of coal and steel. Banking system which revolutionised the way finance works.

exploitation of factory workers: long working hours, unsafe and unhealthy conditions, very poor pay. Child Labour: Children receiving little to no education, working in very unsafe environments. Overcrowded housing. Poor sanitation and disease.

The exploitation of children and factory workers was extremely bad, but it did form good things that are still around in the present time. This emerged unions: great democratic representation of the lower classes. Worker protections: people who payed for the rights of some of the poor people who are being looked down on and treated badly.
