• Roman military, loyal to rome, not to indivisual, this changes were powerful generals try to add more people to there armys, taking soldiers from lower parts of society who make oaths to some generals, Sulla is one of these generals
• Very popular, so senators decide to recall him to rome and relinquish him of his position, when sulla gets the letter, he refuses (un Roman) decides to take out guys who sent the letter
