What events took place during the Victory at Saratoga?
Burgoyne's army of Loyalists and Indians was stuck near Saratoga, NY. Desperate for food and horses, the British raided nearby Bennington, Vermont but were beaten by America militiamen. (September-October 1777)
What is the significance of the French Alliance?
The French do not become allies with America until the Battle of Saratoga. The French wanted nothing to do with the war in the beginning. It is believed that America would not have won the war if it was not for their alliance with France.

Shay's Rebellion was led by Daniel Shay and was a battle between predators and people who were in debt at the time (farmers).

Nationalists were people who looked at the colonies under America as an entity.
What was the VA Plan?
The VA Plan made national government supreme and allowed the bigger states to have more representatives. Therefore, the bigger states had more control.
What was the New Jersey Plan?
The NJ plan catered to the desires and interests of smaller states. It gave every state 1 vote so each state would be represented equally.
What was the Great Compromise?
The VA Plan served as the foundation of this and was modified by the Connecticut Plan.

The Connecticut Plan created a bicameral legislature - lower house and upper house
