Stages of Mitosis: Prophase |
The phase of mitosis in which sister chromatids condense and the chromosomes start to become visible, in a fiction the membrane around the nucleus breaks down and the nucleolus dissappear. |
Stages of mitosis: |
The phase of mitosis in which the chromosomes aligned across of the cell and they become attached to the spindle fibres |
Stages of mitosis: Anaphase |
The phase of mitosis in which a Centromere splits apart and the chromatids are pulled to opposite sides of the cells by the spindle fibres. |
Stages of mitosis: Telophase |
The phase of mitosis in which two daughter nuclei are formed and the rest of the cell is ready to divide. |
The second stage in Cell Division: Cytokinesis |
Cytokinesis complete the process of cell Division as the cell membrane pinches in and divides the cell into daughter cells. |
Stage of cell Division: Interphase |
During this process, the cell copies it's DNA to prepare for mitosis and this is the stage a cell spends most of its life |
Cell Theory |
Cells contain a variety of organelles, each of which has its own structure and function. Some organelles are found in all cells, while others are found in only plant or animal cells. |
Photosynthesis |
the process by which green plants and some other organisms use sunlight to synthesize foods from carbon dioxide and water |
Respiration |
a process in living organisms involving the production of energy |
How to determine a magnification power of a microscope? |
Take the power of the objectives(4x,10x, 40x) and mutilated by the power of the eyepiece usually 10x. |
Parts and functions of a plant |
DNA |
Dna is made up of molecules called nucleotides. They are made from a nucleus from the cell and in the nucleus of each cell, each strand of DNA is made up of chromosomes . |
Genes |
The nucleus of a cell contains chromosomes, which are composed of DNA and divided into segments called genes. Genes controls a cells structure and function by controlling the production of protein. |
Organization of living things: Cells to tissue |
Cell specialization is influenced by the contents of a individual cells cytoplasm, envoirmental factors such as tempa ture and secretions from neighboring crlls |
Scientific definition of Cancer |
Abnormal divide without control and can invade nearby tissues. The cancer cells can spread to any where in the body. |
