What are the Enumerated powers of Congress and where in the Constitution does it say?
Article I, section 8 of the Constitution

Committees in which members of both chambers meet to reconcile their difference in determining whether or not a bill in both houses will become law.
What are standing committees?
Important committee that takes care of the major problems. Have legislative power
What are select committees and their duties?
A legislative body that is formed for only a period of time to direct a certain issue.
What are joint committees and their duties?
A Joint Committee is composed of Members of Congress appointed from the US House of Representatives and the US Senate to consider topics of legislation that are of interest to both bodies
What are conference committees and their duties?
Basically a committee that is composed of both the house and senate in which both groups get together and compromise an issue.
What is reapportionment?
The determination of the proportional number of members each US state sends to the House of Representatives, based on population figures.
What is redistricting?
The changing of political borders.
What is gerrymandering?
Manipulate the boundaries of (an electoral constituency) so as to favor one party or class.
What are the steps for a bill to become a law?
1.Bill is introduced
2.First reading is given by H or S clerk and is assigned a number
3. Bill is assigned to a committee
4. Bill is considered, placed on the calendar, and is then filed
5.Second reading (Entirely read)
6.Congress, friends, and foes, debate the bill.
