Define glacier

A glacier is a thick mass of ice that covers a large area of land

How are glaciers formed?

Glaciers are formed from snow that doesn't melt, even in the summer. When enough snow forms, the pressure increases until the snow turns to ice.

A calving glacier is a glacier that ends in a body of water. Icebergs break of of the glacier and dark into the body of water.
