What diarrhea is characterized by blood and leukocytes and is of low volume.

Inflammatory diarrhea. Diseases causing it are Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and IBD.
Pathogens causing it are Shigella, campylobacter jejuni, and Entamoeba histolytica. |

Causes: Laxatives, production of enterotoxins that stimulate Cl channels, increased serotonin from carcinoid, Vibrio Cholera and enterotoxigenic E Coli. |
