Why does the sun's rays not heat the earth evenly.

This is due to the curvature of the earth

What is Low pressure

Rising air and less air at surface

What is high pressure

Sinking air, more air at surface

What is the Hadley cell

Circulation of air between 30° latitude and the equator

How is the Hadley cell formed

Air rises from the equator and cools down.some form clouds and others cools and diverges to the North and Southern hemisphere. It's sinks to the 30 degree latitude. It is pushed back to the equator by wind. Tropical Easterly wind.

Cumulus nimbus clouds

Polar front

The warm air if the ferrel cell that is moving towards the pole meets the cold polar air that is moving away from the pole. Because they are different air masses the warmer one is pushed up by the colder mass creating a polar fronts. A low pressure system(sub-polar low pressure system) is created because warm air rises.

What are the three types of winds

Tropical Easterlies

Polar Easterlies

Westerlies

Tropical Easterlies

Brings cooler from subtropical HP towards the Equatorial LP

Westerlies

Bring warmer temperatures from subtropical HP to sub polar LP

Polar Easterlies

Bring cooler temperatures, blow from Polar HP to sub-polar LP
