Evolution
Evolution is the gradual change of an organism from a simple to complex form. It cannot happen to an individual but to an entire population
Macroevolution
A large scale evolutionary change of organisms. Think of how many millions of years it took for dinosaurs to evolve into modern birds. Macro evolution is big enough to create a species.
homology
The study of similar structures in various species for various purposes. Bats wings and whale front flippers contain similar structures but in different proportions to serve purpose in the air or water.
