Negative Feedback

Most systems of the body are regulated by this mechanism in order to maintain homeostasis. NEGATIVE means any deviation from the set point is made smaller or resisted. A receptor monitors the value of the variable. A control center receives information and establishes the set point, activating the effector if a change is needed

Not homeostatic and rare in a healthy individual. When a value deviates from normal, system responds by making deviation greater.
