C = 2 x (pi) x r

Circumference of a circle

C = pi x d

Area of a square

A = s (squared)

Area of a rectangle

A = l x w

Area of a triangle

A = 1/2 x b x h

Area of a Circle

A = pi x r (sqared)

Perimeter of a rectangle

P = 2L + 2W

Volume of a rectangular prism

V = l x w x h

Distance

D = r x t

Area of a parallelogram

A = bh or A = b x h

Area of a Circle

A = pi x r x r

Divisor

The number by which a dividend is divided.
54 / 6 = 9 6 is the divisor

equation

a mathematical sentence with an equal sign.

equilateral triangle

a triangle with all sides congruent

congruent figures

figures that have the same size and shape

dividend

the number each member of a set would be if all the members were the same. The average is found by dividing the sum of the members by the number of addends.

circumference (C)

the distance around a circle

attach

to write zeros after the last digit in the dividend. Two zeros were attached to 9 in the division problem below.
9.00 / 4 (see p 423)

rectangle

a parallelogram with all angles congruent.
