13 Tasks of the CEB:
1. Provide engineering recon.
2. Provide assistance for cross-country movement of tracked/light wheeled vehicles.
3. Provide special breaching in obstacles, incuding mines, from the high-water mark inland.

4. Perform special demolition beyond infantry.
5. Perform any CE tasks when augmented with necessary elements of the Eng. support company

6. Furnish technical assistance in fabrication/position of obstacles.
7. Furnish technical/mechanical assistance in the installation of cut-and-cover type field fortifications.

8. Supervise emplacement of minefield and booby traps.
9. Supervise extensive/sensitive minefield clearance.

10. Reinforce/repair existing bridges with local materials.
11. Improve existing terrain for Helo terminal points.
12. Construct and operate light rafts.
13. Erect temporary engineer type structures to help move vehicles/personnel across dry/wet gaps; subject to local materials.
