Two modes of the (SINCGARS) Radio System
SINGLE CHANNEL (SC)
- The Reciever Transmitter(RT) communicates on one frequency

FREQUENCY HOPPING (FH)
- Has ability to secure transmisisons through using the Transmission Security Key (TSK) and frequency hopping reduces or eliminates the threat of jamming and direction-finding equipment.

Field Pack - Folt top flap of field pack over RT and secure flap to field back.

Proceedures for loading SC frequencies
- Obtain authorized frequency
- Set FCTN to LD.
- Set MODE to SC.
- Set CHAN to MAN, CUE, or desired channel (1-6) where frequency is to be stored.
- Press FREQ (display will show "00000")
- Press CLR ( - - - - - )
- Enter numbers of new frequency
- Press STO
- Repeat eight steps above for additional frequencies
- Set FCTN to SQ ON
