Important for synthesis of nitrogen bases in DNA and RNA. From green leafy veggies

Co-factor for caboxylation enzymes
Rarely seen deficiency. Caused by antibiotics or raw egg consumption

increases Ca++ absorption, increase bone resorption.
Deficiency- Osteomalacia or Rickets
Vitamin E
Antioxidant that protects RBC
Deficiency- more fragile RBC (hemolytic anemia) muscle weakness.
Vitamin K
Needed for synthesis of clotting factors.
Deficiency- neonatal hemorrhage, but normal bleeding time.
Zinc
Needed for activity of a lot of enzymes.
Deficiency- delayed wound healing, decrease adult hair, hypogonadism.
