Shooting night scenes during the day.

Works best on really sunny days. Either early in the morning or late in the afternoon,shadows are hardest

Diffusion

1) It can be a large black cloth on a frame used on a shoot to block light. 2) In the cutting room it is a small piece of tape attached to a shot in a roll and used like a bookmark.

Flag sticks out of the side of the roll making it easy to find that shot again quickly

Foley

The recording of custom sound effects during post production in the same way that dialogue is dubbed

Gaffer's Tape

Cloth tape specifically for use on film shoots 2inches wide in silver or black

Gate

The opening on a camera or a projector just behind the lens through which a single frame is exposed

Gates clean

The gate(lens) is clean of dust and hairs of not must reshoot
