It stands for Digital Video Disc or Digital Versatile Disc.Its recording process is based on the use of laser instead of electromagnetism.

Retinal persistence

It is the effect in the eye’s retina that makes the images perceived by the eye be recorded for a very small fraction of time, like a tenth of a second.

FPS

It stands for Frames per second. It is the amount of frames that are shown on a video in a period of one second.

It means coder-decoder. It is software that consists on an algorithm to compress and decompress video in real time.

Format that compress the files the most without loosing too much quality.

Format that compress the files the most without loosing too much quality.

MPEG

Moving pictures expert group, standard format to compress digital video.

MOV

Movie, Apple´s own codec, ity handles the color palette of this platform optimally.

WMV
Windows Media Video, format designed by Microsoft based on MPEG-4 codec to compress the video .
RM
Real Media, format of real networks for video files.

FLV

Flash video, ormat based on the Sorenson Spark and On2 VP6 codecs. Allows high visual quality, it doesn´t matter if the downloading was very fast.

VOB
Video object, format that contains video, audio and subtitles. Is base on formar MPEG for streaming.

3GP

Third Generation Partnership, used on mobile devices, it has standards for mobile technology.

Conversation that happens between two or more individuals that present their ideas in an alternative way.
