for transferring fuel, ammunitions, supplies and personnel from one ship to another at sea. |

Shot line fired from UNREP station to delivery ship. 800ft messenger hauled over . At 300ft the Phone line (or radio) is attached to messenger. At 600ft the Span wire is attached to the messenger. Attach Span wire to pelican hook on Receiver. Tension Span wire (must request permission beforehand). Pull over and seat the Probe. Commence refueling. |

The winch which is used to slack off or heave in on saddle whips or the span wire. -The line throwing gun which is used to send over the shot line. -The fair lead block passes line through to change direction of pull. -The snatch block has one side that opens up to allow a bight of line to be put on .-The Contour light which gives the ship definition while the approaching ship comes along side. -The Saddle whips are wire attached to saddles and the hose saddles connect hoses and attaches to the trolley .-The trolley attaches the saddle to the wire and allows smooth movement. |
