Romans are religiously tolerant but the emperor can kill Christians whenever he wants. The church goes underground because they are being persecuted and they cant practice their faith openly. Revelations is written in coded language because if the Romans got a hold of the Book of Revelation they would kill you. It is coded only so the community knows what it means

love is patient, love is kind, love does not envy it does not boast, it is not proud. IT is not rude, it is not self-seeking . It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth
Corinthians- community was divided and the wealthy weren't taking care of the needs of the poor
