Organizational data, master data, transaction data

Organizational data - look at notes in email

- Define enterprise structure by means of legal or business usage


- Task is to adopt some functions inside of an enterprise and execute them


- Judicial entities, plants, storage locations, sales organizations

Examples of organizational data

- Client: highest organizational unit; represents enterprise which consists of several parts


- Company code: represents judicial entities in the enterprise; central organizational unit in external accounting


- Sales organization: organizational unit that executes sale and distribution of products and services

Master data

- Long-term data that represents mostly data sets

Examples of master data

- Sales and distribution (customer master, material master, condition master)

Transaction data

- Process-related data that is short-lived and dedicated to certain master data


- Master data of a vendor can be assigned to transaction data that concern the sales volume development


- Includes organizational level, master data, situational data

- Situational data: date, time, person, amount
