Definition: Words that use to describe things. Examples: stinky, scary, hairy, big, small, idiotic, huge, boyish, fun, perfect, wooden. sandy, dry, nature, flowery.

Adjectives:

Definition: a word that modifies a verb, adjective or another adverb. Give more information in a sentence like the condition, reason, time or place. Examples: neatly, very neatly, there, now, quickly, nicely, slowly, softly, surely

Adverbs:

Definition: hooking up phrases, words, clauses, complicated sentences. Examples: and, buy FANBOYS: for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so

Conjunction:

Definition: showing emotion or affection, with a ! or a comma when the feeling is not as strong. Examples: ouch, hey, yow!, well!, Oh! Hey, you didn’t tell me that, darn!, horray!, yea!!!

Interjection:

Definition: take the place of the noun to replacing the noun Example: he, she, it, they, her, they’re, we, him, us, his, theirs,

Pronouns:

Definition: action words- that’s what’s happening. Example: run, go, get, search, find, plan, dream, dance, sing, run, swim, fly, rest, sleep, fly, batting, plowing, will, is, climbing, love

Verbs:

Definition: name of a person place or thing Example: bandits, home, engineer, animals, plants, train, Mrs. Jones, Hudson St., dog, bone, Statue of Liberty, fairy, island,

Nouns:

Definition: where and direction of where the object is going. Examples: to, on, of, with, in, from, across, over, at, far, by, over, through, around

Prepositions:

Definition: the noun, then the verb part of the sentence follows that says the does. Examples: Mr. Morrton (s) bluses (p), Mr. Morrton (s) was very nervous (p).
