Element
Elements are substances that cannot be broken down into simpler substances. They are made up of only one type of atom. (elements can be found on periodic table)
Compounds
A compound is formed when two or more atoms of different elements combined together chemically. When elements combine to form compounds they often lose their individual properties.
Mixture
A mixture contains two or more different substances mingled together but not chemically combined. A mixture is a combination of elements in an unfixed ratio.
Molecules
A molecule is made up of two or more atoms chemically combined. A molecule is the smallest part of an element or compound that can exist on its own.
