Feeding requirements for pregnant and lactating female |
Amount should increase as weight increases (may be up 50% more than before). Following whelping, female will need 4 meals a day - should be the same as before giving birth |

Feeding puppies |
Begin to lap solid food at about 3 weeks. Milk, meat, eggs, and cottage cheese make ideal food. As they grow, feed commercial foods as activity and metabolism increases - should be fed 3 to 4 times a day |

Metabolism slows down and their need for calories decreaes. Feed a ration with adequate protein and nutrients. Do not overfeed - feed small meals several times a day |
