Consciousness

The awareness of objects and events in the external world and our own existence and mental experiences at any given moment

Experience

Normal waking consciousness

The state of consciousness associated with being awake and aware of the thoughts, feelings, memories, and the sensations we are experiencing from the outside world

Altered state of consciousness

Any state of consciousness that is distinctly different form nwc in terms of level of awareness and experience and the thoughts feeling memories and sensations we experience

Daydreaming

An altered state of consciousness in which we shift out attention from external stimuli to internal thoughts and imagined scenarios

Controlled Process

Involves conscious, alert awareness and metal effort in which the individual focuses their attention on achieving a particular goal
