- rapid decline NOT slow
- decrease in muscle tone (hypotonia)

Childhood Disintegrative Disorder
- aka Heller's Syndrome
- appears between 2 - 10 years after development
- greater loss in skills than any other ASD
- can occur with other progressive brain disorders
Asperger's syndrome
- Strong verbal skills than any other ASD
- difficulty with non-verbal communication and social interactions
- may be able to live independently
Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified
- diagnosed between 3 to 4 years of age
- aka Atypical Autism
- used when there disorder is present but no symptoms - Last Resort Diagnosis
- Higher level of Depression
