How would you describe a port, a plug, a jack and a connector?
|
a port accepts a plug and usually has holes into which the plug fits. The plug usually has projections such as pins that are inserted into the port. A jack is an alternate for port so you can insert a plug into a jack/port. A connector can be either a jack/port or a plug.

What are mini-DIN connectors used for?
|
Most PCs use the European designed mini-DIN for keyboards and mice. They used to use a bigger version called a DIN that is not very common any more.
