CPU
A CPU (which is also known as a central processing Unit) is basically the part of the computer of where most of the processing of calculations takes place. some people refer to it as the “brains” of the computer. Processors are used in all types of computers
The CPU plugs into something known as a CPU socket which is located on the mother and this socket delivers electrical contact to the microprocessor and to something known as a printed circuit board. In the case of chips with have a big number of pins land grid array sockets or zero insertion force sockets are used as a alternative.
CPU speeds are measured in hertz or in giga hertz. Clock speed is basically the measure of how many clock cycles a CPU can do in one second.

One usb port can be used to connect up to 131 devices such as mice, keyboards, Phones and memory sticks and even printers. There are three different types of USB’s such as USB 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0.
Parallel port
A parallel port is a port that supports external devices such as printers and monitors and keyboards etc. A parallel port uses a 25 pin connector. In 1994 a new type of parallel port was introduced which is known as the enhanced parallel port EPP for short. And then the next one is called an extended capabilities port (ECP) for short. The enhanced parallel port is faster than the older parallel ports because it supports transfer speeds of about 500 KBps up to2 MBps. This port is basically used for Later versions of printers and scanners.
Serial Port
A Serial Port is a type of port that also supports external and peripheral devices such as Mice, Keyboards, and Printers etc. Again this port uses a 25 pin connector. The downside to this port is that it can only transfer one bit of data at one time whereas parallel ports can transfer several bits of data at a single time.

These “holes” connect through a group of electrical paths to the processor.
ROM
Rom which is also short for (Read only Memory) is a type of computer memory that stores data forever and is what a computer uses when it boots up. When data is put onto a rom chip it cannot be deleted because it is read only. There are a many of rom chips on the motherboard which are impetrative for booting up the system and writing and reading to other devices. There are four Other types of read only memory which are known as (Prom) (EPROM (EEPROM) (EAROM).
Cache
Cache is something that temporarily stores data that has been recently used on a computer so that it can be accessed immediately. Most Internet browsers use cache by default use. Internet browsers may use cache things for HTML images or javascript files. It does this because if the user wanted to go back to the same website instead re downloading all the files again to use that website it will just quickly load the files from the cache. There are three other types of cache Hard drive cache Ram cache and processor cache and each of them are used for different purposes. For example processors may want to use cache data so the it can be accessed quickly by the cpu. Most of the time cache is ran in the background so it when it is being used its not even

Student Name: Caroline machinjili THIRD YEAR DEGREE IN COMPUTING AT CCT DUBLIN SUBJECT: ADVANCED SWITHCING AND ROUTING PORTFAST AND ETHERCHANNEL October 2015 PORTFAST in my network I have setup portfast on all the 18 access switches connected to the workstations and also on the core switches connected to the servers. on both switches I have used ports fa0/1 to fa0/2. portfast on these ports will reduce the time the devices spend to connect to other devices on the network since these ports will not go through the spanning tree process of blocking, listening , learning and then forwarding which cause a delay of about 45 -50 seconds instead the ports will go straight to forwarding stage there by speeding up communication between devices in a network. for example in a company that have servers which provide services to clients. I have observed this process in my network and I will strongly recommend for the use of portfast.…

Task-5 a) • Metals Metal structure is made up of crystals of metals which are made up of positive metal ions and these ions are surrounded by a sea of delocalized electrons. To separate these substances from this crystal lattice a lot of energy is needed. In between the positive and negative ions is present a strong electrostatic force of attraction. That is the reason why metals have strong melting and boiling points. In order to slide one layer of the metal ions over the other layer very less amount of energy is used.…

Material list is a list of materials used to produce a product. I was tasked by Pauline to check and calculate the costing that Milgate has provided for the assembly of the UAV modules and the spares. The main purpose of calculating the cost is to identify the materials that are expensive and try to reduce the price. By calculating the cost, I had to illustrate the percentage of each materials and modules in a pie chart to show which of the materials and modules contribute the most in terms of the UAV production cost.…

The Internet was originally called the ARPANET, and in order to enhance the ARPANET to be enable may different types of computer networks to all communicate with each other, an open source protocol needed to be created, hence the development of TCP/IP. TCP/IP improved communications throughout the network and allowed all computers to easily communicate with one another. Another technology that helped expand the ARPANET to more users in a specific location was the development of the Ethernet. Ethernet is a coaxial cable that is still used today in many local area networks. Ethernet is highly effective in moving data from one computer to another at high speeds.…
