democracy/liberal democracy
A political system where the people rule. They vary greatly, most adults can vote, freedom of expression w/o punishment, frequent & fair elections, access to alternative sources of information, freedom to form political parties, organizations, interest groups that are independent of the gov't. Note: not an economic system. Liberal democracy: limited gov't, capitalism needed to have limits to protect workers being abused, doesn't own corporations but might regulate them.
