Anti-sickness for pre-transport

Dilution and Route for TXA?

Into a 500ml bag of normal saline, over 10 minutes, or neat if in a rush

Dilution and Route for Co-Amoxiclav

Dilute with 10ml water, mix in ampoule. Give neat over 3-4 mins or add to 100ml of saline for infusion

How do you give Fentanyl?

• Buccal (mouth, gums and under tongue etc)

Dilution and Route for Ceftriaxone?

Add 20ml saline to powder vial and mix. Give from vial with giving set.

Route for Ondansetron?

• IV over 30 seconds

Route for giving Naloxone?

• IV

What does it mean when you give something Neat?

Giving drugs directly into patient via cannula, Easy IO or FAST

Why would you not give a patient Co-Amoxiclav?

They may be allergic to penicillin
