Circular motion

Motion of a particle along the circumference of a circle is called circular motion

Circle

Angular displacement

The angle (measured from the centre) rotated in moving a point from one point to another on the circumference on the circle.

It is unit less and dimension less quantity. It is scalar for finite values and vector for infinitely small angles.

d(theta)=ds/dr

Where theta is angular displacement, s is arc length and r is radius

Angular velocity

The rate of change of angular position

w=theta/t
