Chemistry

Chemistry is the study of the make-up of all things and how they behave.

Matter

Matter is everything around you. Atoms and compounds are all made of very small parts of matter. Those atoms go on to build the things you see and touch every day. Matter is defined as anything that has mass and takes up space (it has volume).

Mass

Mass is the amount of matter in an object.

3 States of Matter

The three states of matter are the three distinct physical forms that matter can take in most environments: solid, liquid, and gas. In extreme environments, other states may be present, such as plasma, Bose-Einstein condensates, and neutron stars.

1.Solid

2.Liquid

3.Gas

Theory

A well tested set of ideas that explain many disparate observations.

Atomic Theory

Stuff is made of atoms and molecules.

Proved by Albert Einstein (1905)

Particles

1) A minute quantity or fragment.

2) A relatively small or the smallest discrete portion or amount of something.

archaic :

3) A clause or article of a composition or document.

4) any of the basic units of matter and energy (such as a molecule, atom, proton, electron, or photon)
