Disturbances in the metabolism dietary essentials of calcium phosphate or vitamin D usually from insufficient intake or intestinal infection

Rickets

The form of osteomalacia due to vitamin D deficiency in growing children

Rickets signs and symptoms

Children so usually have bowlegs, delayed dentition and speckled teeth and a highly characteristic abnormality of the anterior chest wall where the ribs join the sternum

Rickets treatment

Vitamin D calcium and phosphate supplementation and eliminating the cause if any

Fracture

A discontinuity of the anatomyof a bone

Fracture risk

Overt 80 years, less than 130lbs, long term usr of benzodiazepines, little or no walking/ running, poor vision, brains disease that affects physical stability or mental capacity

Fracture classifications

Bone infarction (osteonecrosis)

Bone death in the absence of infection aseptic necrosis)

In adults, traumatic direct implantation of bacteria into the bone. in children, from blood-borne bacteria from minor infections such as skin or tooth infection

Tuberculosis bacterium osteomyelitis signs

Pain infected area. Malaise fever chills and increase white blood cell count

Chondrosarcoma

Malignant tumor of bone that forms neoplastic cartilage. It favors the spine ribs pelvis and vertebrae and occurs most commonly in ages 40 to 60

Fibrous dysplasia

A benign nodular growth of fibrous in bone tissue that affects growing bones in children and teenagers

Fibrosarcoma

A malignant tumor of fibrocytes and can occur in bone and soft tissue. Usually presents as painful mass and requires biopsy diagnosis and surgical excision
