Nervous system

The nervous system is the communication system of the body.

The central nervous system

Consists of the brain and the spinal cord.

Peripheral nervous system

Consists of the cranial nerves and the spinal nerves

Neurons

Sensory neurons- emerges from the skin or dense organ and carry impulses toward the brain and spinal cord



Motor- carry impulses away from the brain and spinal cord and toward the muscles and glands




Associate neurons carry impulses from one neurons to another
