Who can solve pax disputes?

Complaints Resolution Official, Director of Safety and Manager of Ground Services

A safety assistant is required to accompany the next 4 disabled pax:

1. Pax with severe mental disorder who is unable to comprehend or respond to safety instructions,


2. pax with mobility impairement so severe they couldn't assist themselves in an evacuation,


3. pax both blind and deaf who don't have means of communication with flight crew,


4. pax who require unusual or unreasonable assistance or medical treatment in flight.

Transportation of pax requiring any of these 4 items will not be provided:

1. Incubators 2. Electric powered respirators/ventilators 3.Medical oxygen 4.Stretchers

11 persons that must be refused:

1. Infants 7 days or less


2. People with a communicable disease who are a direct threat


3. People who cannot be sufficiently secured by a seatbelt


4. People who cannot be seated in an upright position for takeoff and landing


5. People who may be a health or safety threat


6. People who appear to be intoxicated


7. Unruly or obnoxious


8. Designated by the US government as Enemy aliens


9. Pregnant women in their 9th month with no doctor's written statement that says they won't be due 72h after reaching their destination


10. Barefoot individuals


11. People requiring constant use of medical oxygen.

Briefing of disabled pax (3 point briefing)

Hello, my name is Gabriella Alonso. I would like you to read and become familiar with the Safety Information Card in the seat pocket. There are 8 emergency exits in this aircraft -POINT EXITS-. /Where/ This is your closest exit, please notice an alternate exit if necessary. /When/ In the event of an emergency I would like you to evacuate along with the other pax. If you need assistance, please remain seated until all pax have evacuated and one FA will assist you. /How/ Please let me know how to best assist you without causing further injury. If you prefer, I will assign an Able Bodied Person to assist you.
