What is chronic fatigue syndrome?
- cluster of symptoms whose cause is not yet known
- primary symptom is debilitating fatigue
What is tuberculosis?
highly infectious bacterial disease that primary affects the lungs and is often fatal
What is lyme disease?
- disease caused by a bacterium carried by a tick
- may cause heart arrythmias, neurological problems, and arthritis symptoms
What is trichomoniasis?
- infection of the protozoa trichomonas vaginalis
- females experience; vaginal burning, itching, and discharge
- males are generally asymptomatic
What is candidiasis?
- infection of the yeast Candida albican
- commonly occurring in the vagina, vulva, penis, and mouth, and causing burning, itching and a whitish discharge
What is bacterial vaginosis?
vaginal infection caused by overgrowth and depletion of various microorganisms living in the vagina, resulting in malodorous white/gray vaginal discharge
What is urethritis?
infection of the urethra
