Differences between prokaryotes and eukaryotes
Eukaryotic cells have a nucleus and prokaryotic cells do not. Eukaryotes have more than one chromosone, prokaryotes have only one.
Difference between plant and animal cells
Plant cells have a cell wall, animal cells do not.
Function of cells
The smallest structural and functional unit of an organism.
Nucleus
Holds DNA, which code for proteins
Found in eukaryotic cells
Ribosome
Makes proteins from codes held by nucleus or chromosomes
Mitochondria
Performs cellular respiration
C6H12O6 + 6O2 -> C6H2O + 6CO2 + ATP

Produces ATP, cell's usable form of energy, from food an organism makes or eats
Found in eukaryotic cells
Chloroplasts
Performs photosynthesis
6H2O + 6CO2 -> C6H12O6 + 6O2

Found in cells of eukaryotic producers
Cell Wall
Outside of membrane
Offers protection, strength and structure
Found in plants, algae, fungi; prokaryotes

NOT FOUND IN ANIMAL CELLS
