  • Back
Cilia
Short hair like structures that extend from a cell and move in locomotion
Flagella
whip like tails that are used to propel the organism forward.
Cell Membrane
Decides what goes in and out of the cell
Cell Wall
Only in plant cells, it's job protects the cell and gives the cell shape along with deciding what goes in and out
Golgi Body
Transports proteins and molecules throughout the cell
Pseudopodia
A fake leg that helps moves organisms
Vacuole
A small cavity in the cytoplasm of a cell, bound by a single membrane and containing water, food, or metabolic waste.
Chloroplast
A chlorophyll-containing plastid found in algal and green plant cells.
Mitochondria
Generate most of the cell's supply of ATP, used as a source of chemical energy.
Endoplasmic Reticulum
an organelle found in all eukaryotic cells that is an interconnected network of tubules, vesicles and cisternae that is responsible for several specialized functions:
Nucleus
The center of a cell that runs all the systems.
Ribosomes
a small, dense, functional structure found in most known cells that assemble proteins and polypeptides used in cell division
Lysosome
organelles that contain digestive enzymes (acid hydrolases). They digest excess or worn out organelles, food particles, and engulfed viruses or bacteria
Centriole
a barrel shaped organelle[1] found in most eukaryotic cells, though absent in higher plants and fungi.[2] The walls of each centriole are usually composed of nine triplets of microtubules.
Nervous System
Recognizes and coordinates the body's response to changes in it's internal and external environments
Integumentary System
Guards against infection and injury and ultraviolet radiation from the sun; helps regulate body temperature.
Immune Systems
Helps protect the body from disease. collects fluid lost from blood.
Muscular System
Produces voluntary movement and circulates blood.
Circulatory System
Transports oxygen, nutrients and hormones. Fights infections and such.
Skeletal System
Supports the body and protects internal organs
Respiratory System
Brings in oxygen needed for cellular reproduction and removes carbon dioxide.
Digestive System
Breaks down food
Excretory System
Eliminates waste products from body
Endocrine System
controls growth development, and metabolism; maintains homeostasis
Reproductive System
Produces gametes; in females nurtures and protects embryo
