RTO setting on the autobrake will activate when?

Thrust levers are retarded to idle above 85 knots

How many degrees does the tiller turn the nose wheels?

70 degrees

How many degrees do the rudder pedals turn the nose wheel and does it activate main gear steering?

7 degrees, it does not activate main gear steering

When does the brake source light illuminate amber?

It illuminates when both active brake sources (center-alternate reserve and right-normal braking) have low pressure

How is gear in transit shown on EICAS?

White cross hatched box

Where are brake temperatures displayed?

On landing gear synoptic page on the outside of the wheel.

Where is tire pressure shown?

Landing gear synoptic page inside the tire symbol

Is antiskid protection provided to both Alternate braking and Normal braking?

Yes

Can you use autobrakes with a right hydraulic system failure?

No, Autobrakes are only available using normal brakes which get hydraulic pressure from the right system.

How are the landing gear held in the up position?

Uplocks.

What is the sequence for gear retraction?

Gear doors open, gear goes up, gear uplocks lock gear, doors close. If all happens correctly gear up indication will display for 10 seconds and then disappear. The hydraulic system will then depressurize.

Gear down sequence?

Doors open, gear unlocked, gear free falls to down and locked position without hydraulic power, downlocks are powered to locked position, gear doors close, main gear trucks tilt to the flight position.

What does the alternate landing gear extension system do?

It uses a dedicated DC powered hydraulic pump and center hydraulic system fluid to release all door and gear uplocks. The doors will remain open after gear extension.

Does the landing gear lever have any effect on alternate gear extension?

No

Once gear is down by alternate means, can landing gear be retracted?

Yes, using normal gear handle

What overrides rudder input steering?

Tiller

When does main gear steering start?

Main gear steering occurs when nose wheel steering has exceeded 13 degrees

Do the nose wheels have breaks?

No

How many brake systems are attached to each wheel?

Each main wheel has carbon brake discs operated by either system

If center and right hydraulic systems are lost is there any means for braking?

Yes, the brake accumulator supplies pressure for several braking applications.

How is the brake accumulator pressurized?

Right system

What does taxi break release do?

If wheel speeds are below 45 knots each taxi brake application is transferred between axles. The antiskid system sequences through the axle pairs at each brake application

When do the Autobrakes start working?

Both thrust levers retarded to idle AND the wheels have spun up

How can you disarm the Autobrakes?

Manual braking, manually disarm system, thrust lever advanced for takeoff after landing and others

Do thrust reversers and spoilers affect the Autobrakes?

Yes, as other braking inputs are applied, the autobrake pressure is reduced

After takeoff does the autobrake selector move from the RTO position?

Yes, after takeoff it will move to OFF position

Once autobrake is disarmed on landing will the selector move position?

Yes it will move to the DISARM position

If normal or alternate break systems are not pressurised can the parking brake be set?

Yes, brake accumulator pressure

What type of anti skid protection is provided to alternate breaks?

Antiskid protection to tandem wheel pairs for forward and middle axle wheels and aft wheels function as normal

What is gear extend and retract speed limit?

270/.82M

How does antiskid work with the accumulator braking?

All wheels receive anti skid protection
