John Dalton

•Dalton’s theory stated that all matter is made up of atoms, and atoms cannot be created, divided, or destroyed. Also Dalton stated that the atoms of the same element are identical. He also stated that atoms can join to form new substances. This type of atoms: One oxigen atom combined with two of hydrogen form water.

He was the first chemist to have a theory of atoms and he said that they are identical.

J.J. Thomson

J.J. Thomson’s in 1897 provided evidence that atoms are made of smaller particles. He found that particles with the atom that have a negative charge known as electrons. Thomson thought that an atom was positive with electrons mixed through it.

He was the one who provided

Ernest Rutherford

He did an experiment to analyze the atoms part and his experiment suggested that atoms have a nucleus, a dense center that has a positive charge and is surrounded by moving electrons. He also found that the nucleus is made up of smaller particles. He called the positively charged particles in the nucleus protons.

The atoms have....
