Pace of Play Policy

•Designated min of 6 holes as timing checkpoints
•Volunteer will be stationed at checkpoint and will signal groups with color-coded cards •Penalties will be given by tournament committee and verified in scoring tent |

Pace of Play Guidelines
|
•group is “on the clock” when they play from teeing ground from first hole
•play ready golf •first person to complete hole moves to next hole and is first person to tee off •second person to finish replaces flagstick •when no spotters are around players go forward to next shot and hold group position on golf course |

Overall Time Par
|
•group is “on the clock” when they play from teeing ground from first hole

Out Of Position
|
•“failure to complete the hole being played in less than the time established by the committee after the group immediately ahead put the flagstick in on that hole”

Green Card
|
No Penalty – the group is in position and/or within overall time par through the checkpoint
|
|
Single Red Card
|
warning – the group is out of position and behind overall time par through that checkpoint
|
|
Double Red Card
|
one stroke penalty – the group is out of position, behind overall time par through the checkpoint and did not make its required checkpoint-to-checkpoint time determined at the last red card checkpoint

|
Bad Times
|
when a player takes more than 45 seconds to play a shot, players will be notified of number of bad times when they receive red card
|
|
Double Red Card definition
|
a one stroke penalty may be assessed to whole group and the one stroke penalty will be assessed to player who has multiple bad times (minimum of three)
|

Undue Delay
|
one stroke penalty if player record 5 bad times and will receive another stroke if records 2 more bad times
|
|
Rescinding a Single Red Card
|
•group is in position with the group immediately ahead through next checkpoint
•group is on or below overall time par through next checkpoint |

Extending a Single Red Card
|
presented with another single red card if they play checkpoint-to-checkpoint and gain one minute on time par but are still out of position and behind overall time par through that checkpoint

Unsportsmanlike conduct, including abusive language, cheating, club throwing, disrespect to volunteers, officials or fellow competitors, or abuse of golf course property

•Small sand bottles are given to each player on the first tee
