ESSAY: Compare Hinduism with Buddhism and discuss at least two effects these false religions have had on the people of Asia. |
Hinduism the pagan religion that is pantheistic and polytheistic in nature. Man's goal is to have oneness with the universal spirit, Brahma, by eliminating individual personality. Karma law states the soul's reincarnation to achieve union with the universal spirit. Buddhism was created from Hinduism and is polytheistic and pantheistic. Man must follow the "Middle Way" and the Noble Eightfold Path, and eliminating desires to reach nirvana. Both have kept their countries in poverty and caste systems. They both treat animals as sacred and have kept their countries backward and in cultural stagnation. |
