Introduction Core competences are the strengths or strategic advantages of a business, including the combination of shared knowledge and technical capacities that allow the business to be competitive in their market (Core Competencies, 2015). When businesses first identify their core competences, they must focus on what competences will help their business grow and provide improved innovated products or services for their customers. Businesses can use their core competences to create new opportunities in other markets as well. The overall goal of indentifying core competences is for businesses to create competences that will create products and services that will benefit their customers. Also, the business must keep in mind that a successful core competency is something that their competitors cannot copy.
Core Competences and how they Relate to HR Strategy Core competences make sure that HR goals and activities are aligned with that of the business (What Is the Competency Framework in Strategic HRM, 2017). The competences are what a business needs to do to successfully implement their organizational strategy. It is what sets the organization apart from its competitors.
