Reach My Goals Research Paper

By the time I am 25 years old, I want to be in a serious and committed relationship. I can reach this goal by opening myself up to more new people. By creating a friendship with someone new in my life, it could potentially turn into a relationship. However, I have to make sure that I know what I want in a relationship and avoid childish or unhealthy relationships. Attending college will help me reach my goal because I will be experiencing a new atmosphere and meeting new people. In order to open myself up to these new people, I will need confidence. Confidence has been an issue I have struggled with my whole life. I have never felt that I am good enough at anything. My lack of confidence might get in the way as I try to reach my goals because I have to learn to love myself and have faith in my abilities before I can begin to love someone else. Also, associating myself with the wrong people can prevent me from finding the relationship I want. If I get injured or acquire an illness, it will affect achieving my goals because I will not be able to live life to fullest, meet new people, or develop any kind of friendship that could become a relationship. I won’t have to work that hard to reach my goals if I learn how to open myself up. If I am in a relationship with someone I truly love and care about deeply, I have faith the relationship will work itself out. Some people who can help me reach my goals are my family and friends because they are my support system and will encourage me to find a relationship. Integrity can help me achieve my goals because it will allow me to understand my morals and find them in a woman. My second goal is to own my own home. In order to achieve this goal, I need to obtain a steady income and find a reasonable priced home I can purchase within my budget. A good work ethic will allow me to make money and using my time wisely will allow me to sort for a reasonable home. On the other hand, money might also get in the way if I purchase a home not in my budget range, am unable to keep up with monthly bills, or the housing market simply does not allow me to find a suitable home. Having an injury or illness will highly affect achieving my goals because I will focus on spending my money to improve my health instead of finding a home. I will have to work hard to reach my goal by saving a large amount of money over the course of time. My parents can help me reach my goal because they have experience with owning many homes. They will inform me about anything I should know as a first time home buyer. They will join me as I visit possible future homes, suggest the best neighborhoods, and ultimately know which home will fit my needs and lifestyle. In the case that I do get injured or suffer from an illness, they will be able to help me financially. Integrity will help me stay focused and determined on finding the perfect home for me. Another goal of mine is get a job as a physical therapist for children with disabilities. …show more content…
In order to reach this goal, I need to excel in college and obtain a doctorate degree in physical therapy. My knowledge, good studying habits, and dedication to becoming successful will help me reach my goal. It takes a lot of time and effort to obtain any doctorate degree so anxiety and stress are factors that might get in the way of reaching this goal. An injury or illness will take me longer to get my degree because if I am unable to attend college classes, I will fall behind and might have to retake courses. I will probably have to work my hardest to achieve this goal because it will take a total of 7 years to accomplish it. My cousins who are both currently college students can give me advice on how to handle the difficulties of getting a degree. Integrity can help me develop relationships with powerful people who can provide me with an internship that can lead to a job opportunity. Many employers also look for integrity in their employees. I want to travel to a different country by the time I am

My professional goal beyond college is to attend a graduate school for physical therapy. I knew I wanted to be a physical therapist while I was coming into the AU athletic training program. The biggest reason for my interest in physical therapy is because they do not require the amount of responding to emergency knowledge. I do not mind the blood, guts, and the gore, but at the end of the day I do not want to have the responsibility of someone’s life, especially if I become close with them due to a team setting. I love athletic training and all the aspects that it incases, but when I am older I know I do not want to deal with high school or college freshman.…
