Movie Vs Inception

Decent Essays
The movie wasn’t that as bad as I thought it would be. It began with Don and Lina in the acting set, making a film. They were seen by the public as a couple, but Don didn’t see it that way. I think the movie was great for how they made it work, what I mean by that is there is acting in acting. So like “Inception” the movie, a dream in a dream; I can compare the movie to that. The story of the movie is from Don and Lina being suppose acting couples. They were famous for their silent films, the people loved them. Don wasn’t really all for the couple thing; Don meets Kathy out of random, he was surrounded by fans and parkour his way out. Little did Kathy know Don was a acting star, and Kathy was also an actor but very little to the public. After

The film "My Fair Lady" directed by George Cukor is an adaptation of the play "Pygmalion" by George Bernard Shaw. The movie is set in London in the early 1900s. Although the film has too many songs, I believe that it is overall very good and has great actors and actresses castes to play the rolls, and scenes that are an addition to the book that add a great new taste! The movie My Fair Lady starts with the main character, Eliza, as a poor girl selling flowers on an England street corner.…

Where as I normally end up arguing against why a film should be considered a horror film, this time I'm going other way and argue why Lightning Bug is a Horror film. As I stated in Horror, My Definition, a Horror film is a film that used dread and horror, while trying to evoke negative emotions. Lightning Bug does that for me, upon first viewing I wasn't that impressed and disregarded is horror elements. Instead focusing on how its a Coming of Age Drama. But after viewing the film never really settled and has passed through my mind on several occasions and when I reflect on the film it's dark and haunting undertones that remain.…

My only complaint is that I found little Affleck's moralizing at the end kind of forced. I felt he would have at least thought it over before calling the cops. Legally, it was the right decision to call the cops. Also, he felt the child needed to go back to her mother and he probably felt the child would help sober her up. The mother kind of sobered up at the end but still seemed like a mess, which is more realistic.…

It grabbed my attention, and I thought it was well thought out and the scenes flowed well. The character development was decent, although some of the characters were not relevant to the plot itself. The build-up for the film did seem to drag on at times. A movie such as this is not something that would typically be played in the United States for many reasons. One, is that it’s not even made for an English-speaking audience, it is in Spanish.…

The book and movie of The Great Gatsby were both pretty good but each had some differences. Some examples; In the book Nick meets Tom at his door and in the movie, Nick meets Tom at the dock and they are driven to Tom’s house. In the book, Gatsby has a relationship with a self-made millionaire, Dan Cody and in the movie this character is completely left out. Also, in the book the man who Nick refers to as “Owl Eyes” who he sees at one of Gatsby’s parties. He later drives his car into a ditch and in the movie, “Owl Eyes” doesn’t appear or is mentioned once.…

The Hills Have Eyes was Wes Craven's second directorial film after The Last House on the Left (I'm not counting his stint as Abe Snake directing The Fireworks Woman). Much like The Last House on the Left, The Hills Have Eyes has a gritty, low budget, violent look, having been shot on 16mm film. Given the budget of approximately $230,000, Wes Craven was able to craft a violent, sometimes humorous horror film that to this day is still quite popular among the horror crowd. The film has gone on to spawn a few sequels and a couple actual good remakes, however, we are not here to talk about those. Instead, we are going to focus on the first film only, as Arrow Video has gone above and beyond in releasing an absolutely stunning Blu-ray release.…

The language choice of the movie more funny then serious. This is a movie that make the audience laugh and have a great time. They also have a lot of music in this movie which makes the movie even more interesting. Most of this music was really good too. Without the music scenes this movie definitely won’t be as good because the music adds more sense of communication with the audience.…

1.0 Introduction “Well, dreams, they feel real while we’re in them, right? It’s only when we wake up then we realize that something was actually strange” (McCateer, 2010). Inception is a science-fiction movie, which was produced and directed by Christopher Nolan in 2010. ‘Inception’ as a concept refers to the situation when you plant an idea in someone’s mind without his or her knowledge of it happening (Rivera, 2012). The movie explores the ability to differentiate dreams from reality (Malcolm, 2010) and therefore looks at two branches of philosophy - metaphysics, and epistemology.…

Tristan and Isolde Between the film and the story, Tristan and Isolde is the perfect mushy and action filled tale of all time. Both adaptations are classic tales that deliver the well-known story line for forbidden love. Without a doubt, the movie and the story are very similar to Romeo and Juliet the better known dramatic love story. Tristan and Isolde do have many difference between both medias that completely changes the original story entirely.…
