The hospital I went to was Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital and I was able to stay there for a maximum of 3 hours. While I was there I was able to interact with many of the patients that were inside of their rooms. The physical therapist and I went around to each room checking on each patient because they were just getting out from surgery. I met an older patient that just recovered from a back surgery the day before I arrived. The patient was telling me how much pain they were in and how the PT’s were coming to get him for rehab that morning. Even though, some of the patients were rude because they were in pain I did not let that bother me to where I do not want to be a physical therapist anymore. I was able to watch the other physical therapist gather patients out of their room and take them to PT down the hall. Many of the patients did not want to go to therapy since they were fresh from surgery. The PT’s had some of the patients walking down the hall to try to get their ability to walk correctly back again. I also saw stem and ultrasound machines that is used to help control inflammation and pain in the injured area in the rehab

Although I tried my best to get a feel for the occupation and get to know the therapist, she was not very engaging.…
