Being as I’m made up of many races and ethnicities; my favorite one being Jamaican. It’s fair to say I’ve heard, and done plenty of research of the land of the Black, Green, and Gold. At the age of eight learning the whole Jamaican National Anthem, and citing it just about everyday since then. Knowing fun facts like the population of my dad’s hometown, Montego Bay, being 96,488 people. Also, people don't know Montego Bay wasn't considered a city until May 1st, 1981; seventeen years after my father was born. I can say as an early birthday present, it wasn't just a vacation, but an experience to another country that I had. It’s also a different view and aspect of life that my dad and his ancestors lived; with a long sought out dream fulfilment.

Six in total; four sisters, and two brothers. A modern three bedroom, two bathroom farm home, with the normal well kept up white paint, and brown roofing. Eight acres of land to keep and maintain the farm animals that included: Goats, Pigs, Cows, and Chicken. Many trees, mainly Guango trees to protect the animals from the heat. With a nice breeze blowing in my cultural boxbraids, as I stare up into the beautiful blue glisering clear sky. The weather is not too cold, and not too hot. A perfect day to start my vacation.
To start of any day for my dad before he could go outside and play stookie in the fields. A game we Americans know by tag. He would complete a list; first go out into the chicken coops, and collect the fresh eggs for that morning after collecting the eggs, he would clean and properly maintain the chicken coops. Second my father would herd the cows and pigs into their area of the field, walking from one of the gated field to the next with a stick to herd them properly. Finally my dad would head over to the stables just a couple of yards away from the backyard of the farm home; and shovel the horses
