Antony needed financial support from Cleopatra and Egypt. Then, rumours were spreading around about how Antony will transfer the capital from Rome to Alexandria. Eventually, the Roman Council removed Marc Antony was removed and then declared war against Cleopatra, and her kingdom, Egypt.
Mark Antony was fighting with Caesar’s adopted son, Octavian, over who would rule Rome. Later on, Octavian captured Egypt's capital, Alexandria.
Marc Antony has claimed himself as a failure. Cleopatra finds out and reveals that she needs a protector. Octavian comes to Cleopatra and makes a deal. If Cleopatra murders Marc Antony , he will work something out with her. Cleopatra then realizes that she does not have the will to expel Marc Antony from Egypt and especially not murder him. She has a better plan; she decides to send a message to Marc Antony saying she had killed herself. When he received the message, he traveled to witness the expected corpse. When arrived, he finds her alive and well and requests her to make peace with
